Let’s talk about the absolute garbage beauty standards we grew up with. You know the ones—flat stomachs, thigh gaps, poreless skin, perky boobs, and whatever other impossible, ever-changing nonsense society has decided is “ideal” this decade.

Most of us didn’t even realize how deep this sht was ingrained in us until we were well into adulthood, standing in front of a mirror, picking ourselves apart over things that don’t fcking matter.

So today, we’re unlearning that sh*t. Because guess what? You are not required to fit into some outdated, impossible standard to be worthy, sexy, or confident.

Where Did All This BS Come From?

From the time we were old enough to hold a damn magazine, we were being told what our bodies should look like. The 90s? Waif-thin with zero curves. The early 2000s? Toned but still skinny. Then came the era of the Kardashians, and suddenly, we needed big asses and tiny waists. And don’t even get me started on the natural-but-still-perfect beauty expectations of today.

The standard is literally impossible to keep up with, because it’s designed to be. If women are constantly chasing after some unattainable “ideal,” guess what? We stay insecure. And when we stay insecure, we spend money—on diet plans, gym memberships we hate, skincare that promises miracles, shapewear that feels like a damn prison. It’s a billion-dollar industry built on making us feel like we aren’t enough.

And I don’t know about you, but I’m not playing that f*cking game anymore.

The Beauty Rules We Need to Burn to the Ground

🔥 Rule #1: You Have to Be Thin to Be Beautiful
Nope. Beauty has nothing to do with your pants size. Sexy isn’t reserved for a certain body type, and confidence isn’t measured in inches. Every body is a boudoir body. Period.

🔥 Rule #2: Cellulite, Stretch Marks, and Wrinkles Are Flaws
Literally everyone has at least one of these. Everyone. Even the models in magazines (they just get Photoshopped into oblivion). Your skin tells your story, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

🔥 Rule #3: Makeup = Presentable, No Makeup = Lazy
If you love makeup? Wear it. If you don’t? Don’t. Your face is not a problem to be “fixed.” You do not owe anyone a contoured, highlighted, airbrushed version of yourself to be worthy of existing.

🔥 Rule #4: You Have to Look Young Forever
Aging is a privilege. We spend our youth terrified of wrinkles, and for what? So we can stress ourselves into premature aging while buying $200 creams to reverse it? F*ck that. You don’t peak at 20. You evolve.

So, How Do We Unlearn This Sh*t?

🔹 Call Out the Bullsh*t. Start recognizing when beauty standards are trying to f*ck with your head. That influencer with “flawless” skin? It’s probably a filter. That “perfect” body? Editing, angles, and genetics.

🔹 Change How You Talk to Yourself. If you wouldn’t say it to your best friend, don’t say it to yourself. That voice in your head telling you you’re not enough? She’s a liar.

🔹 Surround Yourself with Real Representation. Unfollow the accounts that make you feel like sh*t. Fill your feed with diverse, real bodies—because when you see more people who look like you, you realize just how normal and beautiful you actually are.

🔹 Do Sh*t That Makes You Feel Good. Wear the damn outfit. Take the boudoir photos. Move your body in ways that feel good—not as punishment, but as celebration. Confidence isn’t about fitting a mold; it’s about owning your sh*t.

Final Thought: You Are Enough. Right Now.

Not when you lose weight. Not when your skin clears up. Not when you find the perfect skincare routine, gym routine, or self-love mantra. Right f*cking now.

It’s time to unlearn the bullsh*t and start seeing yourself for what you actually are—a stunning, powerful, one-of-a-kind badass who never needed society’s approval in the first place.

And if you need a little extra push to start embracing that? You know where to find us.
