Ah, the infamous “I’ll do it when…” excuse. We all have our own version:
I’ll wear the swimsuit when I lose 10 lbs.
I’ll book the shoot after I tone up.
I’ll go on the damn date when I finally get rid of the back rolls.
Spoiler: That time? It never magically shows up.
Because it was never about the 10 lbs. It was about permission. Permission to feel good. To be visible. To take up space and feel worthy.
But the truth is, if you wait for the moment when you feel perfectly ready, you’ll miss your damn life.
The “Someday” Trap
“Someday” is sneaky. It sounds productive. Responsible, even. Like you’re being smart for waiting to be your best self before doing something bold. But it’s actually just fear with a cute outfit on.
Fear of being seen.
Fear of being judged.
Fear of looking back and realizing you wasted your prime waiting to shrink.
The 10 lbs? That’s a smokescreen. Your worth was never tied to that number anyway.
Your Body is Not the Barrier
You don’t have to change your body to enjoy it. You don’t have to fix anything to deserve experiences, memories, pleasure, or beautiful photos that make you go “Damn, that’s me?”
The world is already spinning. You’re already here. Your body—as it is—deserves joy. Now.
Not after you lose weight. Not after you feel more confident. Now.
So book the shoot. Wear the dress. Eat the cake. Take the trip.
Because life isn’t waiting on 10 pounds. And neither should you.
xoxo
