Hey Girl,
Let’s have a little chat about the exhausting idea that you’re a project that needs constant improvement.
You know, like your worth is dependent on whether you’ve finally figured out how to wake up at 5 a.m., drink celery juice, meditate, journal, work out, text your therapist, manifest abundance, and exfoliate—all before breakfast.
I mean… I’m tired just typing that.
Here’s the deal:
You are not a DIY project.
You are not a Pinterest board of “goals.”
You are not a “before” photo.
You’re a f*cking masterpiece in motion—one that’s evolving, learning, and thriving without needing to be fixed.
Cliff Notes Version: You Don’t Need to Be “Improved” to Be Valuable
The world is obsessed with self-improvement—but rarely from a place of love. It’s always, “be better, faster, hotter, leaner, glowed-up, bossed-up, productivity queen.”
It’s like our entire existence is just a to-do list of “how to be less of a human disaster.”
But love, you don’t need to hustle for your worth. You already have it.
You don’t need to “arrive” anywhere to deserve peace, pleasure, or boudoir photos that make you go, “Holy hell, that’s me?!”
Perfection Is a Moving Target. Let It Go…
Here’s a little secret the perfectionists don’t want you to know: perfection is a lie. Even when you “get there,” your brain will just move the goalposts. Perfection honestly is just a simple illusion.
So instead of chasing the mythical final version of you, try this:
-
Celebrate your now
-
Show up messy
-
Love the work-in-progress that you are today
Because she’s got stories. She’s got stretch marks. She’s got f*cking character.
And that makes her art….and art is never “perfect”
Happy Monday!!
XOXO
Amy and Brie
