I decided that since I chat with women every single day about boudoir sessions that I would put together a list of the top 5 reasons why women think they can not, or should not do a boudoir session….and why that is a bunch of bullshit.

Its a little tough love time here….you need to tell those voices in your head to sit down and shut the fuck up.  Are you ready??  Here we go

 

 

 

 

1.  I need to lose weight first.   Ok I call bullshit on this one all the time. The thing is loves….you are gorgeous just because you are you.  Not because of a number on the scale.  Not because of a tag in your jeans. I don’t give a shit if you are 100 or 400 pounds.  You will rock this.  Those last 10/20/30 pounds??  Honestly the camera isn’t going to notice them.     You are not defined by numbers..period.  That isn’t where your beauty is. I so promise you its not.   Its in the sparkle and depth of your eyes. Its in the curve of your collar bone, the wave of your hair.  Its that space where your back meets your ass, how your lips part or how your nose crinkles when you laugh…all those tiny little things that we never notice.  Beauty is in those details.      Allow yourself to see that…to see your self that way and throw the fucking scale out of the window

 

 

 

 

2.  I am not Sexy…I don’t know how to be.   We are all gorgeous INDIVIDUAL women…and we all define sexy differently.  Honestly when you come into my studio and tell me you don’t know how to  pose my response is “good..thats my job”.  And not to be all braggy but the truth is I am really really good at my job.   So loves, I got you.  I do.  100%   I will show you how gorgeous and sexy you are with out even you realizing you are being sexy.   Hell most of the time my posing feels more awkward….but it turns out to be fire!  If you can get out of your head and get your ass in my studio you will never ever say you aren’t sexy again.  period.

 

 

 

 

3.  I have nothing like that to wear.    Perfect.   That is the perfect answer.   What we do here is not about the clothes….its about you.   If you want to borrow from my HUGE lingerie closet that is awesome.  If you don’t I don’t care either.  I can wrap you with a sheet,  stick you in a milk bath or hell if you have been here any length of time at all you know that fine art nudes are my FAVORITE.    That shouldn’t even cross your mind….I have you covered…or uncovered .  Heheh

 

 

 

 

4.   I have no one to give them to.    Who is reading this?  YOU.  You deserve them.  The boudoir session isn’t just about creating sexy photos….its so so much more than that.  Its about empowerment.  its about confidence.  Its about learning your self worth.  The session is what matters..the images are the souvenir.   The best reason in the whole wide world is that you did this for YOU.  The fact that you can see yourself as beautiful.  The fact that you can have photos of yourself you fucking LOVE.  You are what matters here.  You

 

 

 

 

5. I can’t spend that kind of money on myself.   I get lots of women…especially moms who feel guilty about spending their time and money on themselves instead of their kids. I get that, I have 4 kiddos myself.  HOWEVER.  the point your missing is a very important one.  YOU TEACH YOUR CHILDREN HOW TO FEEL ABOUT THEMSELVES BY SHOWING THEM HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT YOURSELF.  

 

Lets let that sink in a second shall we?   Think back about how you learned to be uncomfortable about your body.  No one is born hating themselves.  Whether it was growing up in a diet culture, or just by the  unrealistic beauty standards that no one can attain.   The number one thing you can do for your child is to show them how to love themselves.  You can’t do that while you hate yourself.  Just saying.

Is it expensive?  yes…and you are worth it.  I make it easy for anyone to come see me though and if you are willing to plan and pay even a little bit at a time  I guarantee we can make it happen for any budget.

 

Now I get that everyone is nervous to come see me…its a vulnerable experience that takes a ton of trust on your part….thats not what this is about.  This is about not letting those fears of inadequacy get the best of you.  I promise that each and every one of you can come in and kill a session right now just how you are.  What is holding YOU back????
