I think when people first investigate a boudoir session they get a little sticker shock. As moms/wives/females, we are not used to the idea of investing in ourself. It seems selfish, frivolous, or a waste of money…Mom guilt is so real y’all. Couple that with the idea that we are already sooooo insecure with our bodies and you get an easy excuse as to why you can’t do a boudoir session. I write about why those are all bullshit Here… But the short story is that investing in your self not only helps you see your beauty it also helps you start to change the way other women think. How awesome an influence is that????
But I know money issues are real and kids and groceries are EXPENSIVE. so I wanted to take a few and give you some easy ideas that won’t break the bank. My clients usually spend an average of $2400 with me. So we will use that total. A good majority of my clients pay all at once but if that is not doable here are the top 4 ways you can finance a boudoir session:
- Paypal credit. You can apply at https://www.paypalcredit.com And they will give you a decision in about 30 seconds. Great news is that it is Interest free for 6 months. Whats better? If you don’t get approved it does not affect your credit report. I Have tons of girls who use this option for at least part of their session. It makes it simple and you get your products as soon as they come in. For most women this time of year especially you know you will have your tax return back well within the 6 month timeline.
- You can totally finance thru me. Interest free!! The only catch is that you have to wait to get any of your products until AFTER they are paid off. I do flexible payments so you could do $50 a week and have it paid off in less than a year!!
- You can prepay leading up to your session. This gives you less of a wait after for your products.
- Interest free (or traditional) credit cards. Similar to paypal credit this is the easiest way to get your products immediately and a lot of credit cards off introductory interest free periods.
Now the question is how do you come up with the $$$ to pay your payments if you don’t want to use credit. Saving is hard, there is no way around it…but its doable if you have decided YOU are worth it. Better yet you can do it guilt free if you are not taking from your family budget.
The number one way I have many clients do is thru
Our massive BLACK FRIDAY SALE!! it is hands down the biggest sale I run all year. I open all new 2019 dates on black friday as well. I dont run very many sales at all….you can save a ton of money by taking advantage of that sale!
Biolife Is a great way to save money for boudoir!! In fact we can even use your biolife card as your payment method. They offer free childcare and you can go twice a week and make $70 weekly. That means in about 8 months you will have your whole session paid for!!!
Surveys are also a great way to earn a bit of extra money!! Opinion Outpost is one of the companies I am a aware of. it does take time to do this but you can do it from home and in combination with other ways to save it really does add up
Stop that daily starbucks trip….at 6 dollars a day you can almost save up for a boudoir shoot just in COFFEE not to mention all the calories you will save!!!! Caffinate at home ladies
Same thing with all the drive thru trips. A little planning can go a long way. Plus its so much healthier to eat at home…win win. Brown bag it instead of take out
Use coupons and then bank the cash you saved. Its amazing how much you can save with those little handy things. 2 dollars here, 50 cents there…I can save tons that way
Trade for services instead of paying for them. Each and every one of us has our own unique skill sets. I trade ALL THE TIME. My skill is photography but you could trade child care for a mom who is a stylist. You could grocery shop for a mom who works full time as a nail tech or a massage therapist. You can organize or clean or run errands, dog walk, what ever for any number of small business owners….because trust me we are all in need of help somewhere in our lives. Trading not only saves you money but also helps you feel worthwhile. Its awesome!!
There are a million ways to earn a bit more money….Look into that if you have some free time. Virtual assistants, direct sales, housekeeping, child care, pet care can all pay very well and get you on your way to your boudoir session very quickly.
Budgeting is my last idea for you. By budgeting you can tell your money where to go rather than it just disappearing on you. Planning it out, knowing you are worth that amount whatever size weekly or biweekly you decide on and sticking to it. It might take a while yes, but the time is going to pass anyway. Why not make yourself a priority while it does???
At the end of the day it all comes down to what is most important to you. It may be that a boudoir session isn’t for you right now and know that is ok. Work towards it, both emotionally and financially, make it a goal….just do me a favor and make sure in some way you are taking the time to prioritize yourself. YOU ARE IMPORTANT TOO!

PS: leave your favorite ways to save in the comments!!!! We are all looking for ways to save money!
I save by cutting back on my utilities! Less tv time, getting outdoors more, using less water bye taking shorter showers ( turning water off to shampoo/condition then turn back on to rinse off) , doing laundry once a week, running the dishwasher ONLY when it’s completely filled, and buying water by the jugs. Not turning the heat on until the first of November, or not cutting the A/C on until I see a week of continuous higher temps. I will grocery shop on a budget with coupons and only buy whatever is on sale for the week ( the Kroger app is amazing at helping you achieve this! I spend 180 bi-weekly at the store for a household of 5! And it LASTS!! Plus I earn extra fuel points doing this too.) Hope this helps some ❤️
Bridget I need more tips from You! I also shop Kroger! 💖
