I have this thing about lists. I have about a bazillion sticky notes all over my desk/computer/wall…that have lists on them.
I have lists on my phone, lists in my day timer and random lists all over my house really. I like to think I am organized…which I am not, but leave me to my delusions please.
Anyway, the longest list I have going is a list of questions that I get doing consultations and answering phone calls and emails. This isn’t The Top Ten boudoir questions all over again, but more personally geared to my sessions and myself actually.
- Are you male or female? Lol, this is one I get multiple times a day… I am female.
- What is your name? I need to figure out how to change this one because my name is obviously not showing up on my business page. My name is Amy Dini. I am 42, blonde 5’3 (ish) and almost always am sporting a pony tail during the week. (I have long hair and I need it tied up to work)
- Do you do this full time? Yup. I run this business and another photography business Stories of Life photography (focusing on family and senior portraits). Before this I worked as a psychiatric nurse for 10 years….so nothing phases me. I have seen it all!
- How long have you been in business? I started The Intimate Story October of this year. However I have been taking photographs professionally for 5 years now.
- Do you do couples sessions? I do!! However couples can’t always make my studio hours and thats ok, I totally get that. In those cases I either can come to you, or we can do the session in a hotel room as well. Bonus alone time for you and your honey after I leave. What could be better?
- Have you done any plus size sessions? I have, and quite honestly I used to be plus sized myself for many many years. Curves are gorgeous and it doesn’t matter in the least what the size on the tag says. Boudoir photography is for everyone!
- Do you supply lingerie? Nope. I want you to have the lingerie that fits you. That YOU feel sexy in. Not some one size fits all…we are all individual!! I can help you find some super hot pieces for under 20 bucks. It doesn’t have break the bank. You can bring just whats already in your closet too…There are a lot of everyday pieces that work very well for boudoir photos.
- Can I bring props? Of course. We can utilize just about anything into your boudoir portraits from books to handcuffs to make sure your photos capture exactly who you are and what sexy means to you. My comfort level is pretty large so please don’t hesitate to ask.
- Can I bring someone with me? I have no problem with this at all. Whatever makes you feel the most comfortable. Or better yet, have your friend book the second session of the day and we can have a boudoir party! PS you both will save when you do that!
- How will I know what to do? No worries, I will give you step by step direction to make sure what poses we choose are the most flattering for you. I also won’t ever touch you without asking you first. Thats a respect thing for me. Most of the time you will find me contorting myself into positions to show you exactly what I mean and we go step by step. Push your bottom out. turn your right knee in. ok now place your right hand on your thigh..etc. Knowing what to do is my job. You just get to be your gorgeous self!
