Hello 2019!!

 

 

I know I am a little hung over late but wanted to take a few to chat about this new year we have started.  Most of us make resolutions…the same resolutions that perhaps we made last year.   you know…the one to eat healthy, lose 20 pounds, pay off debt, save money etc.   and there is nothing wrong with resolutions…but we need to have action behind them.

 

And perhaps we might want to consider some more important different goals for your new year.   Things that might be more meaningful to you as an individual.  Now everyone would like to have a robust savings account and be 20 pounds lighter….but those are not life changing…not at all….and doesnt a new year deserve better than the same ole same ole?

 

So here are a few ideas for you;

 

  1.  Know your worth.  You are beautiful, amazing and loved.   YOU MATTER.   Just by being you.  Not by what you look like, how you dress, who you know, what you have or what you can do for someone.  You are awesome just because you are you.  Stop apologizing for you who are…and hell for some of us stop practically apologizing for breathing.  Your opinion, your thoughts, your voice….you matter.Boudoir photographer, fort wayne boudoir photos, sexy pictures, indiana boudoir
  2. Embrace your individuality.  There is no one like you.  The things you love about yourself, the things about yourself you dislike.  Your attributes and your quirks.  Your hopes and dreams.  Your successes and failures   all of these things wrap up to make the big beautiful mess of YOU-NESS.Boudoir photographer, fort wayne boudoir photos, sexy pictures, indiana boudoir
  3. Love your body.  It sounds cliche but it is the only one you have.  As a boudoir photographer I have photographed close to a thousand women.  Not one of them doesn’t dislike something about their bodies…even the ones you think are “perfect”  You are perfectly imperfect.  we all are.  Learn to love where you are right now and take care of your body….Trust me, the view you have of yourself is distorted anyway.Boudoir photographer, fort wayne boudoir photos, sexy pictures, indiana boudoir
  4. Self Care is not selfish.  its not.  We all are busy..no matter what stage of life you are in.  We need to value ourselves enough to take the time we need to relax.  Read a book, take a bath, get your nails done, meditate, exercise, take a walk.   Tons of self care is completely free.  A girlfriend and I had a discussion today how hard it was to take 30 min for ourselves to exercise but yet we can easily spend 30 min surfing our phone or vegging out to netflix.  Put yourself as a priority this year.

Funny thing is when you actually consciously practice the 4 things above you end up reaching those resolutions we talked about at the beginning.  Its a lot easier to save money when you are not worrying about keeping up appearances.  Its a lot easier to lose weight when you love your body and practice self care.   Healthy food and exercise then seems like a given instead of a obligation.
