The Intimate Story is more than a photography studio; it’s a sanctuary where walls are lowered, beauty is redefined, and every woman’s story is honored in its most raw and authentic form.

I knew that I always wanted to do a boudoir shoot, but I just never had the confidence. Until one day, I decided to choose myself and take the leap. I was a new mom that was struggling with her self image. The day of the shoot, I was nervous but all of those feelings melted away as soon as I stepped into the studio. 

  I was greeted by Brie and she walked me through the process. This is where the fun started! I got a tour of the space and picked out some of my favorite sets. Next, we chose lingerie and then hair and makeup. We touched on conversations about what we liked about our bodies and what made us uncomfortable. It was now time to start shooting!

Throughout the process, I felt as if I had a personal hype man behind the camera.

 

I cannot begin to describe the confidence and empowerment I felt during my experience. I knew that I had made the right decision choosing The Intimate Story for my very first boudoir photoshoot!

 

After we got done shooting, I was informed on how the next steps would go. We scheduled a time for me to come back in to pick out my favorite pictures that would be in my album. I left the studio that day glowing and I could feel my confidence overflowing. It’s something I will never forget! 

When I came back to pick out my pictures, this is where I really got to see myself in a new light. I was blown away and kept asking, “who is this girl?!” I can’t lie when it comes to the difficulty of choosing what pictures to keep. I mean, come on! I LOVED them all! However, seeing all the images of myself truly gave me a deeper sense of love and appreciation for my body. 

All-in-all, I wouldn’t change a single thing about my experience. I can’t wait to get my album back and to reminisce on my experience. It is so much more than just photos! My experience alone is something I will cherish for a lifetime.
